Its been a while I got this bug of going every weekend (or at least one weekend a month) for photo-walks and I am able to do that successfully for last 4 months. And I have been to Ganpati Photowalk, Mandai, Pune Okayama Friendship Garden, Aga Khan Palace last year all cause of this. And last weekend I decided to visit Shinde Chhatri, which is another famous historical monument in Pune.
As always DSLR wasn’t allowed inside so all the pictures here are from my mobile Nokia 6.1 (2018). It has a great camera which never disappointed me once while I was capturing the beauty of this place.
Now more about this beautiful architecture in below post:
Shinde Chhatri is a memorial dedicated to Mahadji Shinde, who was the first commander in chief of Maratha army under the Peshwas from 1760 to 1780. Mahadji Shinde was the 5th and the youngest son of Ranoji Rao Scindia, the founder of the Scindia dynasty. And in present times The Scindia of Gwalior are the descendants of Daulat Rao Sindhia, adopted son of Mahadji Shinde. It is maintained by Shinde Devasthan Trust, Gwalior.
Photography wasn’t allowed inside the hall so I’ll be sharing the clicks of exteriors. But it is no less than the interiors architecture if we compare the beauty.
